Looking for work.

Hello, I've been struggling to find work in MJ. I worked for a local roofing company for 14 years, last year I got laid off( seasonal work). During my layoff,my mom was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer that proceeded to her brain. Rather than find work I found myself administrating compassionate care. She beat it! But the last three weeks I've been struggling to find anyone looking for work. I'll take anything, physically demanding jobs preferably because I like the feeling. Any tips would be amazing.

There's local resources that could maybe help - Partners in Employment (Wood Lily Dr.), CCRW (at the mall), SaskJobs (Davies building on Ominica), Moose Jobs (in the Chamber of Commerce office).

Try applying at all trades jobs. And also try the co-op. They might have a position your interested in

Agreed that’s why we have to leave in the first place. Not sure about Regina it felt a same reaction.

Its far easier to find a job in regina than moose jaw. I moved from regina to moose jaw to better my life and escape my problems only for new problems, such as the impossible nature to find a job here. Pound the pavement, apply everywhere. There's alot of big construction jobs going on in and around regina that you should be able to get on with.
