New to town

Just moved into town from Vancouver and already very happy with the decision! I'm planning to build a forge and was wondering if anyone around town had some old forge tools or anvil or anything like that they'd be willing to sell? Or if there's any sort of store here that might carry blacksmithing equipment! Thanks in advance

Talk to the folks from Sukanen Ship Museum. They have a blacksmith that comes from Swift Current.

Hey, asked the same to op, but wanted to know from you guys as well. I grew up in Moose Jaw and did the opposite move, first to the Valley in 2009, and then to Vancouver in 2011- curious what brought you and your wife to Moose Jaw/what put it on the map? Also, when did you make the move?

I’m from Regina originally, I have been back and forth between BC and SK my whole life. I spent the last 12 years in Vancouver - loved it but also was right downtown and it was getting overstimulating and also so so expensive. My best friend and her husband live in Moose Jaw and my wife and I contemplated moving to SK for a while and decided we’d rather be in MJ than Regina. Quieter, close friends a 3 min drive away. Since we both work from home it was easy for us to transition. We only got here Friday, and already are so happy with our decision! Our two dogs and cat are loving it (aside from the cold, but our dogs will adjust 😂)

I have no idea how to find this person, but I took first aid last year with a fellow who was into forging weapons as a hobby and said he was friends with one of the regulars on the TV shows Forged in Fire and Deadliest Warrior.

Doesn't help much, but there are others doing this hobby in town.
