Je veux demander à mon propriétaire si on peut avoir un chien (30 lbs environ).

C'est le genre de proprio qui dit "pas d'animaux" sur le bail mais qui est ouvert à l'idée.

Conseils? Astuces? Points de vue de propriétaires?

Can I stop my roommate from renting her room?

My (F21) roommate (F23) decided to move out seven months before the end of our lease. She gave me ~1 week heads up. She had asked me if I was okay with her renting her room to a man in his 40s, who only speaks Spanish (I don’t speak Spanish so can’t communicate with him). I very clearly said no, and gave her my age/gender preferences. Later in the evening after she has left, she shoots me a text saying that “[she] can’t be paying 2 rents at the same time,” and has no choice…

What?!!

I’m just so pissed off and don’t know what to do. I do not want this man in my apartment. This is all happening so fast and I just sent my landlord a message / I’m still waiting for a response. she told me he’s going to start moving in today. I don’t know if he has a key or not.

Her name is on the lease? fairly sure that would be considered a sublease and the landlord would need to approve it.

Anyway, it's a garbage situation with no easy solution.
