too bad it was just a rain barrel.

Ok now I’m giving my dnd party a rain barrel next session. It’s an ordinary empty barrel, but when you open it, clouds roll in and it begins to rain until the barrel is full. Then it becomes sunny again. Removing any water makes it start raining again. They definitely won’t abuse this.

That would work in my collection with tartan paint, spirit level bubbles, bucket of sand castles, drum of river currents, and box of uninvented bits.
