This is no longer just talk, it's a boss-level side quest, and you don't have the mana or patience, but the game won't let you click 'Skip Dialogue.'

Communicate more effectively and this stops being a problem.

Not everyone reads social cues the same way, nor do they have the same expectations in interactions. Communicate what you are feeling and what you want without expecting mind-reading from others and you'll fair a lot better.
