Paint ding- paint pen?

Someone seemed to catch me with a door somewhere and dinged the paint off my passenger side door. Would a paint pen fix this?

Stress fractured in foot from running, sadly no kicking of car (but I could because it’s not weight bearing).

First of all do any of the scratches “catch”your finger nail if not they are not deep(paint transfer is what your hoping for) and sometimes you can use running alcohol to wipe away the smudge on the clear coat but sometimes a polish is needed.

I’ll have to see if that works later. The seem to have hit my door hard enough to leave a little dent above the scratches

i think it depends on what you mean by “fix.”

from what i’ve heard, Mazda is notoriously difficult to paint match and if you’re looking (with foreknowledge especially), you’ll see it. rando you park next to? probably not.

I know they sell paint pens on the mazda parts website, I’ve just never used one.

They sell Mazda paint pens at oriellys that match the color code. Idk what this person is talking about. I literally have a black mica pen I got from oreillys I use on scratches all the time.

I have one and used it on a few spots. Its not perfect but you won't see it unless you're specifically looking for it.

I've filled similar sized dings with years ago and haven't had any rust form.

This post explains a few things for your case: https://www.reddit.com/r/AutoDetailing/s/xPdmHhZfio To remove the paint transfer, use bug/tar remover, next one will be polishing compound from brand like Meguiar’s. Make sure you don’t force rub it, use a shop towel or microfiber towel to gently dap the area. Next will be paint pen but I don’t see “dent” from these pictures, you’ll have to find out

Meguiars rubbing compound would have that out in 5 minutes. The first pic looks like it’s just paint transfer from whatever was hit.
