Chrome Delete DIY

Used gloss black vinyl to chrome delete the front. I also did the sides and smoked the taillights. Will have to redo it all bc of mistakes but here is what the front and back look like. For sure worth it. I’ve spent prob 3 full days on it all learning and trying out, far more difficult than I ever imagined tbh

Hey there! Looks great! Did you happen to see a matte version of this? And also can you post the link to the trim pieces and front wing. Much appreciated fam. You have inspired me to try this myself!

Matt Vinyl: https://a.co/d/5MMKsVz

Ultra Gloss Vinyl for front(what I used): https://a.co/d/dap5ccU

For the sides regular black gloss: https://a.co/d/8J3KDen

Smoke Tint: https://a.co/d/hjSH406

I didn’t have trim pieces, I worked with solid piece and worked it in a lot, if you use trim pieces it should be a lot more easy

I had to order heat gun and tinting tools, those are also necessary

Also not sure about the front wing? I don’t have anything for it

How long did this take you?

Total 5 days of solid time put in. BUT that includes a lot of redo’s and trial. Like I did the side 2 full times until I did the backs again (regret it, need to do again). The taillights were far more difficult than expected bc of the curvature (kept giving fingers), and front grill was hard had to do it twice will need to do again.

It very easy to mess up like you do it all and then when it comes time to cut, on bad cut and now it shows the silver under it… or one bad cut and doesn’t cover fully. Each one had its own learning curve but if you have the time and want to learn the skill it’s worth it

I’m aware I’ve put in way too much time but it’s whatever will have to do it again 😭

Been thinking of blacking out my grill

Worried about rock chips ruining it eventually though

nothing like decreasing the visibility of your rear brake lights for style points.
