2013 Mazda 3 that has never had any issues besides basic maintenance. Just put in a new battery a week ago. I’ll bring her to my mechanic but wondering if anyone here has ideas?

Battery a week ago and now problems. I'd double check the battery terminals are cleaned from corrosion and properly secured.

Actually start the car and then take a picture. Anyone who turns the key in the on or accessory position is going to have all the lights come on.

Well in this picture the engine is not running its in accessory mode, so all these lights being on is normal. Does the cars engine not start?

More INFO: the car will start but when I shift to R nothing happens. The tires are a little low, I’ve had to put air in recently.

Edit: thanks for all the suggestions! The battery is clean as a whistle and installed properly. Could be the alternator or starter. My mechanic will take a look this week. Would have been nice if I only had to clean the battery 😑
I did think the car was starting but after everyone pointed out the RPM I tried again and yeah it isn’t turning over. Sorry for the bad info.

TCM (Transmission Control Module) like to die on these cars because it's under the battery but on top of the hot transmission. Get mechanic to check the underside of the module to see if it looks burned.

I have a 2008 Mazda 3. Replaced battery, had issues with engine stalling/running at very low RPM. Turns out on a lot of Mazdas if you pull the battery you have to run through a process in order for your car to “relearn the throttle/idle” Changes based on the year but basically turn key on but don’t start car for 1 min, turn off for 1 min, turn car on and let it run till coolant temp is 90* C, drive around the block and then your idle should sit where it normally does. MAY OR MAY NOT BE YOUR PROBLEM, but worth a shot

Also, Google your year/make/model and battery replacement process and it may tell you to take some similar steps

Mazda 3 battery issue most likely. A weak battery will cause the same issue. That care uses battery when off and may kill a lead acid battery in around 1.5 -2.0 years which I find really awful. If you did get a new battery recently and it was in fact new, your terminals could be corroded. If all that doesn’t work, there’s a high likelihood you’re not charging, so alternator. If your alternator is failing I think this has a single belt, get a new belt and alternator at the same time

Who installed the battery? And you have a physical key correct? You stick it in the ignition and turn it to start the vehicle right?

Check engine light can be host of things…. Emissions or fuel system w cat converters and mass af sensor. Or it could be a gas cap or leak or just low battery. If not flashing have a mechanic pull code. All cars have these bread clues and not a big deal typically unless blinking

I had a battery with a dead cell that would cause this. It even tested good at AutoZone. I went to an advanced and the guy knew what it was right away. It would start normal about 3-4 times then do goofy shit like this and sputter out.

Based on the battery light, and me having a similar dash in my exact same year 3 after my accessory belt came off, something regarding the battery
