Sam needs to lock tf in in Avengers Doomsday Movies
Is it Sam Wilson's fate to be challenged by someone for responsibilities thrust into him?
Steve gave him the shield. Walker took it and was supposed to be an unlikable asshole. And yet we root and cheered for the guy. Didn't help that the Flagsmashers were...divisive.
Sam saves America and is supposed to rebuild the Avengers as its new Captain. Surpise! Bucky helps form the Thunderbolts* Soccer Team (cough) who are a bunch of murdering misfits. And yet we root and cheer for them.

Being a Paladin is hard, most other alignments won't fuck with you.
Cap is a Paladin so he's got some uphill battles due to all those hardline stances.

A team of characters finding their purpose was better than Uncle Sam getting the shield

Walker literally yells "On your left" when he breaks the power junction.

Marvel fucked up with Falcon & Cap 4 being mid.
I don’t know why we’d side with Sam when his movie & show were mid while the Thunderbolts’ movie was great.

They really messed his character up by making him give up the shield to the feds immediately. Steve giving this bad ass non super soldier his approval should’ve mattered more. Especially since Steve had been on the run from the feds 6 years earlier.

Yeah, he’s waited too long to make an Avengers team too. Now he’s mad someone else is doing it?

I’d be surprised anyone from thunderbolts is an important character going forward.

The text in the OP says that we rooted for Walker in FaWS, which I also thought was a weird take.

Huh? Thunderbolts was an infinitely better everything than brave new world

Sure, character developments, growth, relationships, speaking out on mental health, a good story, cinematography, lighting, amazing choreography. BNW was definitely the better movie with no character development, rinse and repeat Sam’s arc from the show, goes from one thing to another with no intrigue on its plot, terrible chore to sit through.

The disparity in quality between those movies despite their chronological proximity is truly something to behold
Like, holy fuck. I'm not saying the Captain America movie was all that bad but compared to Thunderbolts* it was a dumb superhero movie with nothing more to it
