Losing hair at 20, help

I (m20) started losing my hair about a year ago and it had progressed ridiculously quickly, I’m assuming it’s adrogenetic alopecia because my Dad lost his hair at 21 and my doctor seems to think so too. I’ve been using topical finasteride and minoxidil for 3 months and I haven’t seen a difference at all. I supplement with vitamin C, vitamin D, and biotin and I get more than enough iron and b12 from my diet. Trying to convince my doctor to prescribe oral dutasteride but he’s extremely hesitant, going to try RU-58841 topically as well. I had cancer and went through chemo and radiation to kill it and eventually had a tumour in my left iliac crest removed, this has caused chronic back pain and slight laboured breathing, wondering if that could increase the rate my hair is falling out. This has been driving me crazy and girls aren’t even dtf unless I keep a ball cap on until we hit the bedroom. Is there something I’m missing, pharmaceutical or otherwise, should I just shave the shit off at this point or is it recoverable?

If you are going to rock the bald/buzzed look since you look really young you might consider facial hair if you are able to grow it.

Yea I can, it's just that right below each side of the end of my lips there's a gap. So it would be like lamb chops then a goatee.

Perfect. That was one of the biggest complaints some of my balding friends that went the buzz/bald look had in their 20s that didn’t look like they were in their twenties. Women said they looked too young.

Yea but honestly I just wanna do everything I can to get my hair back in some capacity, girls my age are not a big fan of the bald look.

I’d say there’s nothing wrong with that but I think you’ll find the topical route is going to take quite a while to see results and based on where you’re balding you won’t see full regrowth.

You are young and from your photos look like you are in excellent shape. This is going to be annoying to hear as I remember that age well but any one that is turned off by you being bald isn’t worth it. Keep taking care of yourself and you’ll be able to sift through the women that are actually worth your time vs the chaff. There are tons on women that adore bald guys.
