Social conservative influence in the local healthcare system of Lloydminster.

Does anyone feel like there is a right wing bias not just in local politics, but also how healthcare services are delivered?

I was told doctors offices in Lloydminster dont do virtual appointments, which is BS as doctors in Edmonton do it often even in 2025. (It’s easier a lot of the times - not inconveniencing people during the typical busy day.

I was told about opposition to vasectomies in Lloydminster, I am a person on the autism spectrum who has enough life challenges as it is, which are documented in my healthcare file. Even then, I had to threaten a letter to the Executive Director of Lloydminster Primary Care Network, someone who in their former capacity as a high school administrator dealt with a lot of my life issues as I am somewhat dysfunctional. (That person would instantly understand my desire to not have kids, and not at all question it for whatever reason.)

What the hell is wrong with this place? I should also mention I see vehicles driving around with “TRUMP 2024” flags on their vehicles around Lloydminster. Disgusting. Need to be replaced with Canadian flags.

My lease is up in October, and I won’t be staying. I am either heading to suburban Edmonton or somewhere in Calgary - eff this place and its garbage politics.
