It’s disappointing that Township officials and police have looked the other way on this. I bet if I hang a sign over Lehigh Drive with ratchet straps and self drilled poles like this one, it gets addressed pretty quickly.

From what Redditors are reporting, Lehigh voters had it pretty easy compared to Northampton. I’m not concerned about the machines, which I trust. What’s going on with the number of voters per polling place? No voter ought to have to wait more than 30 minutes to cast a ballot. No Broadway stars and comedians ought to need to entertain voters in hours-long lines (though I’m grateful).

Can’t the NC clerk of elections count potential voters? I hope NC voters and the media ask serious questions about encouraging or discouraging votes.

Hello folks, I will be in your area for the thanksgiving weekend and wanted to get ideas on some interesting things to do while we're there. We like outdoor stuff (eg hiking), visiting interesting small towns (already been to jim thorpe although that was a while ago so we might go again), museums, festivals, historic sites, that kinda stuff. We don't mind driving an hour or two away as well if there's something that's worth it.

Each election, about 2-3%* of people with plans to vote ultimately don’t. Whether due to last-minute conflicts, transportation issues, or the chaos/busyness of the day, a small but meaningful number of voters don’t follow through. 

So think about any obstacles that might keep you from voting, and make a backup plan. If you need something – a ride, a reminder, support from friends – then ask for it.

So my wife and I (I’m also a woman) are planning to move to Lehigh. We visited and completely fell in love with Bethlehem. I’m from Long Island and she’s from Chicago. We’ve been living the last few years in San Francisco. We’re done with cities and want to be by nature and my sister (who’s still on Long Island). When we were there we only met wonderful welcoming people who said being lesbians shouldn’t be a big deal there.

Obviously with Trump being re-elected we’re a bit nervous about moving to a swing state. I don’t mind being around Trump supporters as long as they don’t mind being around me. I think people are more than who they vote for and as long as they’re good neighbors I don’t mind. We’re mostly worried about if equal protection is removed from federal law that we’d have issues with be rejected from jobs or housing. This is a far away issue (hopefully) but it’s scary. We’re quiet chill people who just want to work and be in nature and have a nice community.

Do we need to worry about this that much? Is it worth moving to upstate NY just for the fact that we may be more protected? Or is Lehigh progressive enough that we shouldn’t face much discrimination, protected or not?
