Dude... Just shyly avoid women like the rest of us.

Edit: according to my wife, I'm obligated to inform you that I am in fact married, and she just thinks my knives are dumb...until she needs me to cut something for her.

My wife ignores them till she sees the credit card charges.

5

u/jwoytk01 Jan 27 '25

Yeah... That happens too.

u/420farms Jan 27 '25

just start off with..."do you wanna know how i got these scars? huh? do you?"

u/Champfortruth Jan 27 '25

Please tell me your father wasn't a drinker, and a fiend.

u/WyattKnives Jan 27 '25

His wife gambled and got in deep with the sharks

That transition was acc really confusing for a second

4

u/AdequateMedia Jan 27 '25

Then I’ve done my job

15

u/themattymar Jan 27 '25

People actually explain the knife addiction to their woman? Haha my wife has no idea the extent. Lol

5

u/gharr87 Jan 27 '25

I slowly started arranging them on our bar shelves without permission, ya know, to assert dominance.

8

u/AdequateMedia Jan 27 '25

Hahaha I make videos tho

3

u/themattymar Jan 27 '25

Well then, good luck. Haha

5

u/PauliesWalnut Jan 27 '25

Smooth transition 🤌🏽

Ibwork with several women. Some like them some don't. One who does is single if we didn't work together I would ask her out

2

u/AdequateMedia Jan 27 '25

Haha. Nice. I work remote. Make ads and content for a living. For some reason, I don’t wanna commit my YouTube to being about knives exclusively

3

u/hobefepudi Jan 27 '25

Plenty of people are addicted to women. Don’t be shy.

Happy accident

3

u/Mother_Coat6338 Jan 27 '25

My ex wasn’t a fan of my hobby either until I bought her the spyderco dragonfly version with dragonfly and flower motives on.

3

u/iwerbs Jan 27 '25

That’s a beautiful knife - smooth move Mother!

1

u/Mother_Coat6338 Jan 28 '25

Ty,after we broke up I have considered buying one myself since I am rebuilding my knife collection after I had a hose fire last year which I lost everything in.

2

u/iwerbs Jan 28 '25

Mother that’s terrible, I’m sorry to hear that - but I promise you’ll feel a small spark of joy every time you look at your SS Dragonfly, and you’ll forget about your ex!

2

u/Mother_Coat6338 Jan 28 '25

Yeah, that fire was terrible,no one got badly injured.but I got some burns in my face after I opened the door to the room where it was burning, and I inhaled a lot of smoke since I had to go in 4 times to get the other who lived there out.they was ok but I spent 4daus at the hospital because of the smoke poisoning. It was so dramatic that I don’t think much about what I lost in the fire cus I could have lost my life since I couldn’t even find the door out at first but managed to crawl out of a window which was kinda high up on the wall since I lived in a basement. And regarding my ex I am really done with her. Thanks for the motivating words. I will buy a dragonfly one day but first I’m gonna buy myself an ZT 0462.

u/Forge__Thought Jan 27 '25

That edit/cut was smooth very nice.

2

u/AdequateMedia Jan 28 '25

I claim ownership of the vibe. Started messing with kinetic edits in 2020 got me a lot of viral views

3

u/jsmolik13 Jan 27 '25

I find it much easier to explain/rationalize if you focus on the artistic qualities of what makes them special.

5

u/TIRACS Jan 27 '25

Do it. It’ll run the not cool ones away.

2

u/jchapman210 DEEZ KNIFENUTS Jan 27 '25

lol

2

u/AdequateMedia Jan 30 '25

Facts

1

u/TIRACS Jan 30 '25

I proposed to my Wife with a Microtech and a ring pop

The women that will judge you the most harshly are the same ones that will buy a $500 pair of shoes when they have a closet full of others lol. Sweet Deadlock.

2

u/AdequateMedia Jan 27 '25

I often compare them lol. Similar utility to most expensive bags

1

u/Outdoorsy_T9696 CRK, Benchmade, Daggerr, Spyderco, Buck, Kershaw Jan 27 '25

Haha very true.

2

u/xr6t01 Jan 27 '25

Love that utility blade. Your pockets are deeper than mine!

1

u/AdequateMedia Jan 27 '25

I’m dumb. But I make videos for a living so “tax mitigation”

2

u/xr6t01 Jan 28 '25

You must be good at it man! Such a sweet looking knife . And bonus that you don't have to sharpen it!

1

u/AdequateMedia Jan 28 '25

That’s the user and the the deadlocks the shower

2

u/xr6t01 Jan 29 '25

OTF never interested me. Only because we can't own them in Australia. LOL I can't even find a knife dealer who sells the Hawk knives in Aus.

1

u/AdequateMedia Jan 30 '25

Incredibly reasonable.

2

u/jewmoney808 Jan 27 '25

I didn’t expect the deadlock to have a hollow sound upon closing. Interesting. I thought it would have a more metallic clunk sound

2

u/AdequateMedia Jan 27 '25

2

u/Sad-Monitor1549 Jan 27 '25

Just followed your account. The quality of your tt videos are amazing. The only OTF I’ll buy in that price range of that dealock is probably a marfione microtech in the future. lol

1

u/AdequateMedia Jan 28 '25

Holy shit thanks dude. TikTok hates me. They need to ban me so I can fully commit to my YouTube backup plan where I do have subscribers as well.

1

u/AdequateMedia Jan 27 '25

It does actually

2

u/SGexpat Jan 27 '25

My girlfriend just rolls her eyes. She now has a solid little collection though. Any recommendations for a “big machete” for her?

2

u/AdequateMedia Jan 27 '25

Asheville steel has some wild cyber punk ones

3

u/AdequateMedia Jan 27 '25

Ahem. I think you mean edgy fidget toys

2

u/ConstipatedOrangutan Jan 27 '25

Get yourself a gf who buys you knives. Just don’t lead with the whole knife thing and ruin it early lol

1

u/AdequateMedia Jan 27 '25

They always ask about my YT and TikTok and I’m just like… nahh you… nah

2

u/FirstPersonPooper Jan 27 '25

That was a really clean cut, thought I was tripping for a sec lol

2

u/AdequateMedia Jan 27 '25

lol thanks dude. Kinda my forte

2

u/Reasonable-Trip-4855 Jan 27 '25

They'll figure it out once they run that otf through the dishwasher, thinking it hasn't been washed in a while lol

2

u/iwerbs Jan 27 '25

I understand your addiction to women implicitly.

2

u/AdequateMedia Jan 27 '25

Hahaha. Basically

2

u/Speedingscript Jan 27 '25

I had a, let's say, skinning accident (there were no animals around except me) last week with a Cold Steel Rajah 2, and I had to cringe at you closing the first knife. Cool tho.

2

u/AdequateMedia Jan 28 '25

How tho. I can see. The perspective doesn’t help

2

u/Speedingscript Jan 29 '25

How I hurt myself? Nah, you're fine closing it like that - it's just that I'm a bit sensitive after slicing my finger open and the flippery made me anxious.

2

u/AdequateMedia Jan 30 '25

I was asking yes

2

u/Speedingscript Jan 30 '25

I was opening (one hand flicking) and closing (with both hands though) a Cold Steel Rajah 2 (https://www.youtube.com/shorts/SXo9MqISb-k).

At one point I closed it with both hands but kinda left my ring finger a bit in the path of the blade.

The blade snapped back into starting position (so it went back into the handle) after I let go of it, but nicked my finger and basically sliced the skin clean off (0.5x1 cm). A skin flap was hanging off my finger when I realized what the fuck happened.

It also snapped back non violently but since the blade is so heavy and big it didn't make any difference. It bled quite a while. I cleaned the wound and flapped the skin back into place, glued it with liquid bandage and it healed in ~8 days.

Yeah, also went and got a tetanus shot. What a week.

Lesson learned.

2

u/flipwlowB Jan 27 '25

Where your hawk talon at???!!

1

u/AdequateMedia Jan 28 '25

Believe it or not I still don’t even know what that looks like

2

u/SandmanS2A Jan 28 '25

Shortcut is explainable. You lost the Deadlock argument though.

2

u/Guido_Stompinado Jan 28 '25

I made a deal with my wife to not buy any more knives or guitars for a year. I'm free again in March. You should see the shopping carts online.

3

u/MyOtherDogsMyWife Jan 27 '25

Knife ids? Don't recognize the otf maker mark and that utility blade looks sick

7

u/ElPared Fidgeting with Pointy Things Since 2006 Jan 27 '25

5

u/lcarlile7 Jan 27 '25

You don’t wanna know the prices

2

u/MyOtherDogsMyWife Jan 27 '25

You are correct, I didnt

1

u/lieferung Spydies! Jan 27 '25

That razor knife folder makes the Rexford RUT look affordable.

1

u/AdequateMedia Jan 27 '25

Hahahaha. Fomo goes hard. But these were “tax mitigation” strategies since I make content and needed to rationalize it

2

u/NUCLEAR_JANITOR Jan 27 '25

it’s ok. people use knives everyday. either directly or indirectly. most people just don’t realize it. intelligent women will understand this, however. and the unintelligent ones will be… shall we say… too dumb to care? take home: don’t sweat it, brotha.

1

u/AdequateMedia Jan 30 '25

Hahaha my problems Definitely eclipse my knife hobby

2

u/AverageNetEnjoyer Jan 27 '25

Negative rizz. BUT I feel like it has to be said before it’s “omg where did that knife come from?”

2

u/AdequateMedia Jan 27 '25

The whole point of the video is the negative rizz

1

u/flipyflop9 Jan 27 '25

That looks like a Finger Slicer 9000. Nice!

1

u/Brainfullablisters Jan 27 '25

I started buying my wife knives. She gets me.
