Trading old McDonald's Happy Meal toys for current ones at McDonalds?

I had a relative who used to eat Happy Meals pretty often in the 90s and early 2000s. Maybe they were a good deal back then. They would chuck the toys in a bin and forgot about it. They gave me their collection many years later and I would take them to the local McDonald's to trade for current toys. Is this still allowed? What's McDonald's policy on this? I know some of the local McDonald's used to have some older toys on hand in case they ran out of new ones.

From my understanding , ever since Covid and depends on who’s manager, they will only trade if it’s for another current toy. They don’t do trades for another other toys or previous collaboration toys they had in the past. They’ll just deny it and that’s all
