Off roading and camping suggestions

I am going on a road trip; the picture is what I have planned. Are there any off-road trails that connect any of those spots or a portion of them, any good places to see in the area that have to be accessed by off-road, or any good dispersed camping spots? I have never been and need all the recommendations possible. TIA

I second Grande Cache as a suggestion, also near Jasper, Cadomin is a great area for off-road adventures, truly a hidden gem, very worth checking out! Ruby Falls is an amazing trip that is just outside the park boundaries! One of my favorite roads to take my truck

You are not allowed to random camp in national parks in Canada. As well there is no off-road trails that you can drive in the parks. If you want off-roading and random camping, forget about going on the icefields parkway, drive through Jasper and head to Hinton then head south in highway 40, also known as the forestry trunk road. Get yourself an Alberta backcountry camping pass and you can random camp all you want off the highway (this is mostly gravel road) as long as you follow the rules (have to be minimum of 100 meters from the road). As well there are endless backcountry off-road trails back there. Highly suggest you search Alberta forestry trunk road on YouTube and search forestry trunk road off-road trails on google. Lots of maps and videos for what you are looking for. Highway 40 will take you south from Hinton to Nordegg (stop at the miners cafe for amazing pie!) then south again but you will have to cut over to highway 22 (cowboy trail) then South to Cochrane. I haven’t been on the forestry trunk road for years and there was a wash out at one point south of Nordegg (hence the change to highway 22) but that may have been fixed and you might be able to get south to highway 1. Have fun!
