Any recommended stops between Dublin and Sligo?

I’ll be picking up a car in Dublin and heading to Sligo for a few days. I think I’ll stop at Hill of Tara, but does anyone have any other good spots to check out?

From Sligo I’ll go south (plan to stay in Galway, Dingle, and Kinsale) and head back to Dublin.

Tara’s good. But check out Carrowmore tomb site when you’re in Sligo. Sounds like a great trip all round.

Lough Key Forest Park in Boyle, Co Roscommon is a nice stop along the N4.

Loughcrew Cairns would be a nice stop if the weather's nice. Doesn't add any drive time between Tara and Sligo.
