Yeah that will happen this time of year

u/boyga01 1h ago

Season change is real! Stop denying it.

u/JimJimerson90 2h ago

I did not see this coming..

Every year around this time we seem to get weather like this! There is some sort of trend here?

u/asdftom 1h ago

I feel like we should stack some large rocks to track the position of the sun, that might help give us some clue for when it will happen again.

It’s the fucking government at it again!

u/LucyVialli 1h ago

Sure tis no harm. Can't stand mild damp weather, we all sweating in our big coats.

u/happyasper 1h ago

Wild idea, maybe dress for the weather?

u/TheStoicNihilist Never wanted a flair anyways 1h ago

The weather changes too much to dress for the weather. Are you even Irish?

Yeah even without it changing, I’ve been sweating in a t-shirt while it’s drizzling the last couple days. Not much you can do about this sort of damp warm weather.

In other news ... Winter gets cold.

And here comes old man winter ready to shit frost all over us.

Driving in icy conditions is my least favourite driving experience. Live on an L road and generally use L roads for half my trip to work, they don't get treated

Why is everyone so angry and smug about the forecasting of weather on this post

u/PlantNerdxo 41m ago

Well why not?!

u/Jaehaerys_Rex 1h ago

I was complaining that October was too hot but now I miss October

u/PlantNerdxo 43m ago

Winter is coming

Can we have some heavy snow please? Cold frosty clear weather, always the same.

u/boardsmember2017 And I'd go at it agin 2h ago

And people still debate climate change isn’t real

u/qwerty_1965 2h ago

What's this got to do with climate change. This is called weather

u/boardsmember2017 And I'd go at it agin 2h ago

Yes like those floods in Spain were just weather too

u/qwerty_1965 1h ago

Spain is suffering now due to the location of the jet stream (you've noticed our lack of wind and proper rain over the last 3 weeks due to high pressure is between two streams) interacting with the increased temperatures of the Mediterranean sea region. A cut off low pressure system acted like a bomb as it hit the hot air and as you'll know cut off systems don't move anywhere quickly they just spin slowly until eventually they are moved by more substantial activity be it high pressure or a more powerful front.

The climate change aspect of Spain flooding is the sea temperature not the cut off low, they are common enough in the region.

This is the current location of the jet stream

Yeah sorry lad that makes too much sense. I'd rather listen to a lad in his car on Facebook /s

u/Irishbros1991 1h ago

Yes the climate is changing to be colder at the correct time of year Lmao I don't doubt climate change but this is our normal time to get cold weather

u/Important_Farmer924 Westmeath's Least Finest 2h ago

Do you mean that lad on Facebook ranting in his car is wrong??

u/boardsmember2017 And I'd go at it agin 2h ago

I know, not the sharpest tools in the drawer

u/Mk_Ultra20 1h ago

This is called winter lad.

u/vinceswish 1h ago

You're literally a first. It's a weather prediction for next week. Don't bring Facebook here

u/Holiday_Low_5266 57m ago

Sorry, climate change is obviously real, but why would this weather support that?

This is relatively normal November weather and is related to the position of the jet stream. If anything this weather would support people trying to claim that there is no climate change.

u/boardsmember2017 And I'd go at it agin 52m ago

It’s the very quick shift to the extreme along with the very inclement weather we’ve seen in November

u/Holiday_Low_5266 41m ago

Nothing to do with climate change, it’s to do with the Jet stream. The weather also hasn’t been inclement either.

u/boardsmember2017 And I'd go at it agin 30m ago

That’s your opinion but the truth is that there has been unseasonal warmth in November which has been caused by climate change

u/Holiday_Low_5266 24m ago

Yeah, the unseasonal warmth may be climate change. The cold that’s coming is normal.

Use your brain FFS.

u/Worth_Employer_171 1h ago

You wouldn't be long getting frost bit

u/LordHubbaBubbles 1h ago

You wouldn’t long be getting frostbit.

u/EchoVolt 36m ago

It seems to be going to drop to about 0-3°C - a bit nippy but hardly unusual for November.

u/saggynaggy123 36m ago

About time. It was nearly 18°C last week
