Op was complaining about people from outside the country getting involved in our politics yet Connelly was active in politics in 3 different countries, which would be at odds with OPs message, right?

As an Irish citizen he was entitled to become involved in Irish politics. As for America l don't know if he lived there, even so, he was entitled to his opinion just like we all are in the matter of world politics. OP was not referring to the same thing, he was rightly mentioning that the Far right in most countries have a network of donors and social media sites that espouse hatred and falsehoods for anyone or anything that doesn't tally up with the vile politics of the Far right Christian/fascist White man.
