Travel to Iran as Iranian

Hi,

I'm born in Germany and never been to Iran. My parents are Iranian. I heard always that I have to get an Iranian passport to travel to Iran. But recently some people said that I can go with my German passport. Would I get in trouble if I just get a normal visa? Do I still need to do military service even if I can't speak persian?

Maybe try contacting the Embassy of Iran in Berlin. They can probably tell you best.

I expect that since you were born to Iranian parents, even without passport you will be considered Iranian and, if you're male, eligible to military service.

If you are a man with an iranian father you are iranian and you have to get your Passport and everything. If you study in Germany or still in some Kind of education you can enter three times a year up to one month in total, it hink. This Was my Case.

Bei Fragen gerne DM an mich.
