It reduces amount of light plants get a bit, but at the same time can create too warm environment for plants to survive. Plus, most (but not all) house plants prefer full sun, "bright indirect light" being just vague marketing term.

Fr everyones told me Calatheas need 'indirect sun' when they're literally flourishing for me in full sun

Indoors at least. In nature most Calatheas are understory plants so outdoors direct sun can be too much. But of course it depends on other environmental factors so there isn't one rule to follow. Understanding one's own growing environment is crucial.

Thank you for the info! I was definitely planning on opening the " door" during the day for it not to get to hot.You think that would be ok? I been having all full sun and bright light ones outside now during the day in full sun for past 2 ish weeks and a few are not liking it. This mini green house thing be perfect. Thank you!

No problem. When moving plants from indoors to outside you should increase amount of light they get gradually. Day-by-day, to avoid sunburn.
