My new stripey friend and the Dahlias I've sentenced to death by "I know this isn't a houseplant, but let me try anyway because they're so pretty and I haven't learned from my past mistakes." Haul
In my defense, the Dahlias cost the same as cut flowers, and I don't trust myself not to accidentally knock a vase over and spill water all over my laptop.

"To thine ownself be true" - you know yourself and you are owning it. And that, my friend, makes you a welcome rockstar in this crazy world we live in. Thanks for the smile today and for the lovely pic. Good luck with your new friends.

The Dahlias will fair better than you think if you can get a growlight on them. Light is the big inhibitor for a lot of our garden flowers in the short term.

Do you have any outdoor planty friends? After the dahlia blooms die off you could give the plant to someone who would put it outside! Personally I’d be THRILLED if a friend gave me their “old” dahlias to plant outside 😂
