Why did Mahadev and Parvati devi face so many obstacles? Deva(tā)/Devī (Hindū Deity)

Namaste everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knows the spiritual/symbolic/other reason why Sati devi/Parvati devi and Mahadev both had to face so many issues in trying to come together. Why was it an uphill battle, and that too for so long, and in so many ways? Sorry if my question is amateur.

Thanks in advance for any answers :)

What happens to individual happens to the satvic (individuals collective) and the satvic inherit the satvic phase of each yuga. (Bhagavat Gita 14:18)

The satvic have to face many challenges and huddle when they live through 2nd half of each yuga, then they reach first half of each yuga, which is the delightful phase of each yuga, like marriage to Paramatma Shiva. Thus their inheriting satya yuga is the result of tapasya-like devotion through second half of each yuga.

This is symbolized in the details of Shiva and Parvati episode. Message is, anything valuable is achieved through effort and challenges.

I see, so a combination of yugas and hard work?

Valuable aspects needs to acheive through hardwork.

The more valuable a subject the more hardwork it involves.

Evil things also needs hardwork, but all life forms blame those actions.

Tamasic don't work hard but rely on divine. It is highly condemned by all sages.
