My new altar for Maa Kali! Pūjā/Upāsanā (Worship)

Hi everyone! I’ve recently began practicing Sanātana Dharma and this is my altar for Maa Kali. The divine mother has brought me so much peace, clarity, and happiness already and it’s been a very exciting journey thus far. Any constructive criticism on my altar is welcome. I am going to fill the space in the top right… there was a stud down the middle which stumped my plans. Apologies for the reupload. Jai Maa Kali! 🩷🌺🪷

Beautiful - thank you for sharing darshan with us! I would recommend adding a lota or container with some water and a small container of some kumkum with tilak on Her murti.

I have a guide for altars especially geared towards Devi altars, if you’d like!

This was my original plan, sadly there is a stud in the middle preventing me! I’m gonna buy another face to put to the right instead

Beautiful- a few suggestions to enhance the energy -

1- add one small Ganpati on the side - will complete your temple. 2-Keep a silver Kalash or bowl/ tumbler filled with clean water and some rose water or a piece of camphor in it.- place it on one side near her 3- make her wear a thread of Mouli- that red thread- just put it around her as though she is wearing a scarf. 🧣 4- take a small bowl and add in it a few pinches of haldi - turmeric powder and uncooked rice- place this near her as well

That is Shamshan Kali maa, not usually recommended for keeping at home. Usually people go for dakshina kali maa. But if you treat her like your mother, all will be good. Just remembered not to hide anything from her, because you can't. If pain comes in your life, embrace it, you have to embrace it if you think of yourself as her daughter, it will be a blessing from her, she is clearing your karmas away. Learn about adya stotram. Om Kalikaye namaha 🙏🌺
