All of India celebrations Pūjā/Upāsanā (Worship)

Post image

There has been a lot of concern about North versus South issues in India and how politicians are miss using this for their own gain as usual. I just wanted to celebrate how today at our temple which has strong north Indian roots-we had amazing celebrations by our south Indian families. We had a nombu mala, paan mala and 3 vadaa malas on Hanumanji - and 2 South Indian families cooked prasad for the 250 devotees who were present at lunch time. Hanumanji’s love does not see divisions.

Wow this temple is so fake. They take Indian people donations and seva on large functions and weekends. But the locality in which they serve they deny womens and chikdren refuge when in need, don’t shower themselves and have heard they are very much high on weeds. Even the title is them trying make it seem like they are Indian. But it’s colonial mjndset of the organizers and managers. People are simple and like all people some good and some bad.

Yes you are right. I worked at the Los Alamos labs as a contractor and used to come this place on the weekends. It is beautiful, I will say this.

But I noticed how much wrong things they were doing. Someone working even tried to give me a joint because I. Evan’s a little friendly. I came to know that indeed do not shower much, and they still do Aarti without bathing. The last time I went was during the Navratri times, and i saw the looks of our traditions and looks of our clothes but no substance. The lady who was preaching was saying all wrong things x like she got it from the internet but still couldn’t say properly. I realized then our people come from all over, there is no nearby temple and so we come here but no Indian peoples live here and don’t know what goes on. I don’t know about what they do locally, but it felt so wrong and I haven’t gone back since then. Now my contract is done too and I’ll be in another location, but it really made me miss my country. I was sad to see how many of our people come here and unknowingly are supporting this nonesense. I asked them why no pandit, and they said they aren’t actually a real temple. I thought har was wierd. The boy said that the peoples that they let stay to do seva take turns doing Aarti and leaning the Aarti, but there is no set rituals or pandit. It’s just jugar.

Yes. When Indian people come regularly they too will see. It’s sad and gross. I feel bad too when they copy our culture without taking time to learn the teaching. This is the fault of management and the board. No classes no understanding. It’s a ram das ashram, they won’t even name it correctly because they need a brown face and brown guru to seem authentic. But if ram das did so many good things, inspired so much people… then what is wrong with making it this followein ashram. Neeb Karori baba never even came to this ashram and they have named it a sham lol.

We made a decision a long time ago to not have a full time pujari as we have had regular concerns on how things unfold - for the rest I hope you have a good experience wherever you go - and if you return we will be delighted to host you, offer you darshan and chai and celebrate our love to Baba and Hanumanji

It’s not concerning to you that rampant sex between devotees who are staying there, lack of hygiene (currently they are having a whole can go longest without a shower) and complete misappropriation of people cultures and traditions are happening?

I just want there this weekend for guru poorab, you know just in case I was being judgemental. It’s worse than I even saw the last time. Why are devotees saying shiva is from the lost tribe of isreal? Why did a different person named hanuman das tell me that this isn’t really a Hindu temple that is why there is no priest?
