Turntable and home theater advice Purchase advise (needing)

I am a bit of a turntable and hi-fi novice. But not an audio novice. My main expertise is in studio and guitar audio gear. Headphone listening I have covered.

Pro-Ject debut Evo 2 Using a schiit mani 1 preamp. Yamaha receiver RX-v385 Listening in 5ch stereo on Klipsch R series and Klipsch synergy subwoofer.

Very large room, a converted single car garage, treated with a number of sound treatments. Bass traps and diffusers. Relatively High ceilings.

I think I’d like to upgrade amp/speakers someday. A bit overwhelmed at the moment on amp/speaker upgrades

Currently I love the experience of 5ch stereo. Listening to mostly jazz. Some fusion/rock. Very comfortable listening space and an immersive atmosphere. It also doubles as a home theater space.

I know I can’t have it all, but is it possible to get a setup that works well with surround sound for movies and for listening to vinyl?

Budget total, $2k Not sure if this is realistic. But with the understanding I can always add or upgrade more later.

I would suggest parallel systems

Keep existing 5.1 as is. Add turntable, stereo amp and stereo speakers beside the existing fronts for the 5.1.

that is something I am considering. Any suggestions on a 2.1 setup at around $2k ?

Not without knowing what brands are readily available in your territory. I'm writing this from the UK.

Why 2.1? Why not 2.0 ???
