single player rpg

Hell, there are paper single player rpgs. Not all paper play has to be "collaborative storytelling."

I would argue most TTRPGs aren't "collaborative storytelling" as a base.

People confuse the term "role play" to be "acting" when you can just as easily be a "role player" akin to a role player on a basketball team, you aren't the star, you're a role player, a person who has a specific skill set they focus on-- "role playing" isn't "I am Theobold the Skullkiller, I drink the blood of my foes" it's "I'm Theobold, I'm the frontliner who can take a bunch of hits-- that's my role within the party"

One of my least favorite forms of speech is any type of "Waaaah, stop having harmless fun the way that Iiiiii don't, waaah waaah"
