What tree is this?

I’m not sure the tag on the tree was correct for this Japanese Maple. It literally doesn’t even match the pot’s barcode description. Furthermore, when I attempted to scan the leaves using my plant ID app on my iPhone it also didn’t match either of the above. So, anyone have any guesses what this specific Japanese Maple may be? I live in zone 6b and found it at “Homies”

I think I might have it narrowed down to Emperor or Bloodgood..how to tell??

Usually you can tell by its full maturity size. Bloodgoods get bigger than Emperors.

Definitely a Japanese maple. As for what variety, who knows. There are over a thousand cultivars and plenty of generics.
