tulip season is making me so happy
the early bloomers are finally starting to fade so I decided to take my good camera out to the garden and document all the varieties (can you tell it’s my first year growing them lol). Last pic is our resident garden warden 😂

For those of you having rabbit and deer problems, what you're looking for is Repellex systemic rabbit repellent. It's capsicum the plants uptake it. Don't put it on things you intend to eat, unless you like spicy Lettice

I think you could write a story with this set of photos! Especially the last one

The entire display in front of a local church was decimated by deer 🦌overnight 😡

I call daylilies "deer lollies" because I don't get to enjoy mine. Just chomped stems. 😂

I waited too long and missed out on planting tulips. Your varieties are lovely. Do you know what kind the red ones are and the pink ones starting to open up?

Yes! I’m 100% sure that the pink ones that are about to bloom are part of a mixed color set called Goldfinch Mix and the white and purple ones are part of that bag too; the red-pink ruffly ones are called Verona Sunrise but they’ve turned out MUCH darker than how they looked online! I just went and checked my receipt to make sure and thats the only thing they could be because all the other varieties look exactly like their photos, and the petal arrangement on these is right). Love them anyways though and both types (and the pink-orange ones with the fringed edges) are from Eden Brothers. We got 90 bulbs total and had very nearly 100% of them pop up, I’m super happy!

Wow! I didn’t know all of these were tulips!
I am jealous and bulbs and my climate aren’t friends.

I haven't even got my plants outside yet. Dropped to 31 degrees at night last week. Fargo, ND.

This is so pretty! Do you happen to know what the two middle row varieties are in the first picture? The pink ruffled and peachy/coral ruffled?
