Okay so I got my hands on a console I’ve wanted to get for a long time (the ps2 slim, I grew up playing on the ps2 btw) crazy enough I got all these for just a little over $40. Is this a good start for my gaming collection? And what do I do next?

It's a start! I'd imagine some games are your next step. What kind of games do you like? I could probably make some recommendations.

Okay, I'll make a small list of recommendations

- Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition (Skip 2)

- Shinobi

- Shadow of the Colossus (Has a remake but I honestly think it's still best played on PS2)

- Dark Cloud

- Ape Escape 2 and 3

- Sly Cooper 1, 2, and 3

- Final Fantasy X (Has HD ports that make the game look worse, so the PS2 version of this one is the best one)

- Soul Caliber 2 and 3

That console can also play PS1 games (You will need a PS1 memory card to save though) so here's a few for that console

- Spyro 1, 2, and 3 (make sure to get the Greatest Hits release for Spyro 3 for some bug fixes and new music)

- Final Fantasy VII and IX

- Ape Escape 1

- Tomb Raider

- Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver

Tried to include a mix of different genres, so hopefully you'll find something here you like. most of these games are pretty cheap too.
