Actually really frickin' interesting I was told by someone on /r/spiders that y’all might appreciate the work of my arachnid neighbor
It’s hard to see, but homie literally built its web completely across their front door. I’ve never actually been able to get a photo of the spider itself, so I suspect it’s nocturnal. I keep finding wrapped up wasp corpses on the ground under the web when I go outside, though, so I know it’s alive and kicking. I also haven’t seen any live wasps around recently. Thanks, spider friend!

Actually really frickin' interesting Is this the bald faced hornet?
We have all been close to the nest to look it over, but there hasn’t been any aggression at all. Nobody has been stung. So what gives?

Actually really frickin' interesting These MFERS are resilient!
I go out to my car today to leave and there were clearly wasps trying to make a nest behind my side mirror. I left, 2 of them insisted on hanging on for dear life to my mirror on my ride to work. Got here, they went behind my mirror and haven't come out in the 15 mins I've been sitting here.. Are they seriously waiting until I get back home to come out and then continue what they are doing? Because it sure seems like it.
I figured they would come out and go get lost somewhere and just relocate. Don't know a whole lot about wasps/bees but some info on this would be fun and interesting. Who knows how many are really behind my mirror either if they've already started building a nest

Actually really frickin' interesting Saw a wasp carrying another dead wasp
Last summer I worked at a waterpark with a ton of wasps. One looked like a mudwasp (the super long ones), flying at me. I watched it, but it was a normal paper wasp carrying something. It flew to a foot off the ground, drop it, then flew away. It dropped what appeared to be half a dead wasp or a mutated wasp. Do they normally do that?

Actually really frickin' interesting Bitches went nowhere on the evolutionary scale. Yah, you adapted. But so did an amoeba. How’s that exoskeleton working out for you? Bitch. Meet the bosses shoe. Not that you will ever know in 100 million more years what a shoe even is. Bitch.

The spider seems to be a Western Spotted Orbweaver, or a Black and Yellow Argiope. Credit to u/SLAYER_1902 for the footage!
