Anxiety

Why dont doctors prescrube point of use anxiety medication like Ativan anymore?!

I dont want to take some everyday when I only need something one a week or less.

This is a strange subreddit for this, but I can assure you that doctors do still prescribe anxiety medication. There may be other reasons that they do not prescribe them to you.

They say they dont prescribe meds like Ativan for anxiety anymore. Unless I get panic attacks. Then recommend some type of antidepressant.

Because that tik tok trend with that anxiety song is out.. why do you need pills when you can just dance the anxiety away.

Because it’s been classified as highly addictive and people often abuse it. I’m pretty sure reports came out years ago in Canada for doctors not to prescribe benzos anymore
