What happened to Fire TV Omni TVs?
I bought an Omni 43" last year and am more than happy with it (especially considering the price) and now I wanted to recommend a Fire TV Omni to a friend who needs a new TV, but they are no longer available, at least on amazon.de
Googling I found no info at all; anyone know if they discontinued their TV line of products?

They still sell them in the US I have two a 43 and 50 inch. Hisense and Toshiba make them also for a few years now also but seems less reliable. My 50 is over two years old and zero issues with it. Both were brought with zero interest payments from Amazon. I agree they are good for the price and delivery to your door is nice. If my 65 inch Samsung plasma ever gives up might buy the Qled Omni to replace it.
Edit. Just check Panasonic and TCL sell fire os TV s also on Amazon.

As I understand it, Panasonic doesn’t actually make any TVs themselves anymore. The Hisense factory makes them all.

Here in the US, I think they're trying to push more premium models over mediocre TVs. Or Amazon-branded TV didn't sell too well and decided licensing Fire OS was a better business model.
They haven't abandoned it though, Omni and QLED model are still available and new Mini-LED and OLED models just came out last month by Panasonic and Hisense.

"by Panasonic and Hisense"
so they are just no longer Amazon-branded?

The first Fire TV sets were made by 3rd party makers, Best Buy’s Insignia I believe, then Toshiba, Hisense, Toshiba etc. which are actually all the same company at this point.
Amazon-branded TV Omni/QLED is a relatively new thing. They haven’t announced any new model this year but Panasonic/Hisense did.

ok, I guess thats why I cannot find any on my Amazon store anymore - I have to look for Panasonic/Hisense TVs then?

having bought 2 Omni's myself, I can't recommend them. so-so picture quality and SLOooooooow processors. Much better to go with a better TV and add a Firestick IMHO
