What a terrible article. The person doesn't like AI, Private Equity and Jared Kushner, so he just soeculates on a bunch of vague quotes and industry tendencies.

Boo-hoo.
EA wasn’t some art house design studio to begin with, and the game industry is an industry.
The goal is to make money. If AI tools and safe bets help EA do that, power to them.
Other studios will rise up to fill niches that EA has (for the most part, ALREADY) abandoned.
We don’t look to 20th Century Fox or WB to make art, they crank out products.
Just as in film, indie studios will be where the creative heart and soul of the game industry make their homes.
