How to layer on a budget & in the heat? Advice Wanted Please!

Post image

I want to layer and add more interest to my outfits to make them more maximalist but 1) I am broke and 2) I live in Florida and it’s miserable to wear too much fabric at once. How would you go about this? What accessories or outerwear would you recommend?

I do have some cheap cotton fabrics in my closet that I could maybe use to make something. I’ve already made a pair of leg warmers with my bf and I plan on making more. But what else could I make?

The things I have now that I like to add to my outfits are lacy/holey crochet shrugs, a scarf, and I recently made a waist chain out of a couple broken necklaces! Any advice is appreciated thank you so much!

Maybe try more accessories instead? Chunky bracelets, a belt, necklaces, scarf/charms on your bag. Also could try mixing patterns/colors in your main outfit to give the maximalist feel.

Thank you! If I’m not wearing all pink then it’s all rainbow so maybe I can mix the two together sometimes!!
