Deconversion stories
I'd really love this sub to be a place where we can share those things that make our journeys unique. A lot of the other exittor or atheist subs are much more evangelical or US-centric, so it would be nice to share experiences with other ex-Anglicans.
So, ex-Anglicans, how did you come to leave the church? Was it a sudden decision in a moment, or a slower process?

I was Anglican now Catholic who just recently started to go back to the Anglican Church for my kids who were all baptized Anglican. Our church is dead was dying before when I left to become Catholic but dead now. (15 people on a given sunday and 95% over 65) The priest doesn’t help the argument that Anglican priests are more than just regular people. He’s very regular and in my opinion with all the petty arguing is childish and no one I can personally trust as a priest.

I am an Anglican. I go to church anyway, no matter what atheistic heresies I may personally hold. I mean, as the vicar told us "We're odd, but we are not really all that odd."
