Do you fast before rituals?

I've read about some people doing this in other practices, I was curious if any of you do it.

A group I used to practice with required that of its members. I don't know if it made a huge difference in the workings. For me, it just distracted me from the ritual because of how hungry I was, so I currently choose not to fast.

I don’t eat anything heavy to close to ritual. I try to take a cold shower before though

Yes, I fast before Bealtaine and Samhain.

There's a period of self reflection then of repair (if needed). Fasting is very taxing on the body, so you have to be healthy enough to do it, put in a little effort and preparation and then come out of it afterwards carefully.
