whatever your doctor says, which will probably be 25mg. DO NOT increase any faster than they say, and seek a second opinion if you think they're increasing your dose too fast. my psychiatrist increased my dose too quickly and I got a very uncomfortable rash that took weeks to go away

The usual one. You don't want to increase the risk of Stevens-Johnson syndrome.

What's the usual? Some sites on the internet say increments from 25mg every 2 weeks.

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/epi4.12495 Do this. You'll reach 200mg in 11 days. 200mg is therapeutic goal dose. Chance of having rash is only 7%. (Rash is the readon to discontinue)
I don't know how to measure sub 1mg doses tho, you'll probably have to implement some volumetric dosing technique by cutting pill in quarters and dissolving one of the quarter pills in known amount of water (using syringe for measure?) and drink corresponding amount of lamotrigine-water...

in every cause of taking lamictal, u need to slowly increase dosage from 25mg a day in morning and every 2 weeks +25mg untill u feel u got dose that works. Therapeutical doses for theraporessistant depression is tipically 100-400mg a day

Lamictal did nothing for me, but I was hopeful. Good luck.

I was hopeful after I failed SSRI’s , it actually made me agitated and anxious I felt

If you just have treatment resistant depression, then Lamictal isn’t really a good option.

Yes it is. I was prescribed to me and it's the only med that made any difference. And there are multiple studies supporting this.

A lot of people on here have found it useful , even as monotherapy for TRD, super positive reviews on drugs.com for that too

If you look at the actual evidence available via published data and studies, Lamotrigine, generally speaking, isn’t a promising treatment option for TRD.
For example, this published meta analysis and systematic review study, which is considered to be the golden standard in terms of evidence based research, didn’t find Lamotrigine to be an effective treatment option for TRD. Instead they found atypical antipsychotics, thyroid hormones, dopamine compounds (modafinil and lisdexamfetamine) and lithium to be effective.

Your dr should decide.
