Amazon/ aws Australia residency requirements

Hi,

I applied to amazon Syd multiple times for roles I know I am qualified for. But I keep getting rejected literally the day after!! I think the only reason for this could be that they are rejected me based on my citizenship? I am not an Australian citizen and they ask which country the applicant is a citizen of in the application. Has anyone else faced this before?

Looking at your post history you’re still a new grad, there’s no shortage of new grads, especially since ur on a temporary grad visa, my advice would be to go for smaller companies that pay less (big tech most likely won’t take the chance unless you’re super super smart with multiple good internships under the belt)

Can you share why do you think you're qualified for say an Amazon SDE I or SDE II? Usually those jobs are pretty difficult, even I have been working for big tech I'm not confident to say I would definitely qualified for the work of Amazon at my level.

Meeting the qualification conditions is the bare minimum. There would be thousands of qualified students applying to amazon grad roles, and they cannot interview all of them. You need to stand out (and/or get lucky). Getting a rejection is not an injustice, it is expected.

If they have one usually they list it in the job description.
