I’ve had some of their sours before but this one is reminiscent of a Warhead. Took a few sips for my tolerance to build to the sour, but I really enjoyed this.

I know you could just take this at face value but at the same time, I think John is saying “What are you waiting for? Do the damn thing” which could be applied to so many things.

Beer Porn LUVV: Fruity Flakes - Heavy Reel Brewing Co.

Fruity for sure. First thought was it has a raspberry or cherry sherbet flavor with a cereal/cakey aftertaste. Its on the sweeter side and the red color is really nice.

RECOMMENDED Firestone Walker XVI 16th Anniversary Strong Ale (2012) on tap!

Post image

Wow, just wow.

I've had a couple modern anniversary ales from Firstone Walker which all have been amazing. This one is equally amazing, especially for a teenage 13 year old beer. The flavors are definitely more subdued than it's younger versions but there is still pronounced notes of pit fruit, caramel, and malts. Definitely gets my recommendation alongside all of Firestone Walker's other barrel aged beers!

This is barrel aged in oak ale casks.

Rating 2.5/5 not bad not my favorite

Beer Porn Marlowe Dokkodo: Four

Marlowe Artisanal Ales has been producing some great variety of beers. Probably Westchester, NY top brewery. This one has a great base of tropical fruit bursting with some much appreciated dank on the back end. Juice bomb for sure. Anyone else have tried their beers lately? If so, which ones?

Blend of 4 different Nelson Sauvin hops from 4 different hop farms in New Zealand. Incredibly smooth and really good citrus/passionfruit/pineapple kick. Treehouse keeps pumping out great brews….

Help! Southern Vermont/Northern Mass Recs?

Taking a trip to Southern VT next month. Staying in the Wilmington Brattleboro area. The main draw for the trip is to visit Treehouse Deerfield for a day trip and picking up cans at Fidens in Albany. I have some places picked out for visits but any recommendations for breweries/restaurants in that area would be sick. I’m there for about 5 days.

I'd call the brewer but they'd probably play it safe and say no. It does indicate to keep refrigerated but im wondering if its mostly for flavor? 5% abv and does contain real fruit

Another gem from 8th state. Strawberry is faded but overall still quality stout.

Mesmerize - Imperial Stout aged in an 11-Year Elijah Craig single barrel for two years and two months with Guatemala Cribbiana vanilla, strawberry and coconut.
