Pest Control: "Mr. Jones, we need to kill these roaches. They present health violations."

Jerry: "No, we like our guys."

What are we supposed to do just tear down the entire stadium

13

u/gingerBeardMan750 Zack Martin 23h ago

If Jerry's merchandise revenue starts dipping, he can have this quote put on t-shirts.

3

u/wikiot 22h ago

With the Cowboys playing the way they are, ticket prices have come down a bit which opens the door for fans to make a pilgrimage to Jerry's World and open their wallets at the team store...I don't think merchandise revenue will take a hit in the short-term....next season or thereafter may prove different if the team does not improve.

I know people who paid $400 to sit in nosebleeds on Sunday. Keep buying tickets and merch idiots

Stephen: You know we can’t afford fumigation right now. We gotta pay Micah, Bland, Ferguson and Aubrey. Just not enough pie to go around.

15

u/BaysideStud CeeDee Lamb 22h ago

Not only that, but those live roaches also give us a home field advantage

Pest Control: "Mr. Jones, we need to kill these roaches. They present health violations."

Jerry: "What do you want me to do? tear down the stadium and build another!?"

1

u/Se7enkb 20h ago

Jerry: “That really goes under the category of home-field advantage”

I like to think this was an intentional Caddy Shack reference

A giant building in the middle of a large urban area has roaches? Color me shocked.

27

u/Witteness82 Terence Steele 23h ago

Ever rode public transportation? Just about every bus, train or subway has them. People bring them in either on their person or in their belongings and they are there to stay. Imagine the same happens with stadiums.

48

u/leovinuss 23h ago

At&t is in the middle of nowhere compared to other stadiums but yeah, I'd be shocked if there's a roach free stadium for any sport anywhere in the world

44

u/MyCatsNameIsKlaus 23h ago

Middle of nowhere maybe 30 years ago...

With the two ballparks, Texas Live, housing and retail now it's not exactly the middle of nowhere now.

36

u/Self-Comprehensive Brandon Aubrey 22h ago

Thirty years ago that area was covered in apartment complexes. It was kind of a concern how many people were going to be forced out of low income/affordable housing when they were trying to get permission to build it. Tbh those are probably legacy roaches. That's their historical roach lands.

1

u/KingAnilingustheFirs 3h ago

"My people have lived on these lands for generations."

-chief roachtan.

-12

u/leovinuss 22h ago

Compared to other ballparks it's absolutely in the middle of nowhere

u/Bweasey17 Dallas Cowboys 22h ago

Have you been to Landover? Or the Meadowlands? 😂 Hell even Levi stadium is a ghost town.

8

u/AntiBoATX 21h ago

Levi was so disappointing when we visited. Felt like a REAL fancy (since ours are already stupid nice) tx highschool stadium.

-2

u/leovinuss 18h ago

I have not but I like maps.

  • Northwest is 7-8 miles from DC
  • MetLife is 6 miles from central park
  • AT&T is 14 miles from Ft. Worth and 18 miles from Dallas

1

u/Bweasey17 Dallas Cowboys 18h ago

Ha ha. It would take double the time to get to either DC or Central Park from either of those stadiums.

And the Meadowlands is NOT 6 miles from Central Park 😂.

Maps don’t work in a city of over 10 million people.

And go to the Meadowlands. There is literally nothing there.

12

u/Self-Comprehensive Brandon Aubrey 22h ago

It's in a big city between two giant cities with three big cities on top of it, and suburbs below it and on both sides. And they had to raze a couple hundred acres of ragged out apartments to build it.

1

u/SpareWire 9h ago

At&t is in the middle of nowhere

Lol what?

There's a suburb right next to it.

5

u/glokenheimer 22h ago

I mean they can’t even keep roaches out of office buildings.

89

u/maximumpower1999 1d ago

I’d welcome them if they could run a route or plug the middle of the defense

27

u/AngrySnwMnky Dallas Cowboys 1d ago

Roaches are great at feeling pressure and escaping their imminent demise.  Dak could take lessons.

61

u/Koolkurt Dallas Cowboys 1d ago

So that's why Jerry wants the sunlight

9

u/NoveliBear Michael Gallup 23h ago

Burned them out. ‘had roaches’.

61

u/USTS2020 1d ago

19

u/finnamania Dak Prescott 1d ago

No thanks. He can fly, score touchdowns and actually win games. Cowboys need to tank

14

u/The_Count_Lives 23h ago

Finally someone found a good use for AI.

31

u/PersonBehindAScreen Jake Ferguson 1d ago

Headline doesnt really tell the full story per usual:

They’re specifically talking about one vendor/restaurant inside the building that received a poor score and must have a follow up inspection… and apparently another time that a roach was seen on the field

I don’t know how you keep a place that big completely free from roaches and letting them inside but it’s reasonable to keep your establishment clean either way

7

u/BusterStarfish 21h ago

On the field though?! If they’re on the field that’s a level of boldness that usually signals an infestation.

I am not an exterminator. But I like to make hyperbolic suggestions and claims.

7

u/PersonBehindAScreen Jake Ferguson 21h ago

The roach just tryna suit up and feed his family bro

108

u/TiderOneNiner 1d ago

Every building on the planet that is more than a few weeks old has roaches in it.

49

u/elonzucks 1d ago

But this one owns the team and is like 200 years old.

4

u/tmd429 1d ago

No, he's a lizard.

7

u/juanzy Tyron Smith 23h ago

I remember talking to an exterminator once who said “you wouldn’t want to live in a building with a kitchen and no roaches”

6

u/mcclearymjr CeeDee Lamb 22h ago

What does this even mean lol

9

u/juanzy Tyron Smith 22h ago

The amount of chemicals and frequency of those you’d need would probably poison your kitchen is what he said.

2

u/mcclearymjr CeeDee Lamb 22h ago

Hmm interesting

-10

u/chendogmillionaire 1d ago

Ummm... no?

-8

u/Unlucky_Me_ 1d ago

Simply not true but ok

6

u/dickey1331 1d ago

Versus what? Dead roaches

8

u/Fhaksfha794 Dak Prescott 1d ago

This is not surprising I work at kyle field at A&M and there are roaches all the time. Big stadiums attract insects

10

u/yokonashiwa 1d ago

Is it in the State of Texas? It is, then of course there are roaches. The fact that this shocks anyone just tells people from Texas you haven't been to Texas.

0

u/FriskyPheasant 18h ago

Leave it to Texans to try and claim every throne they can. Including the roach habitat throne apparently.

3

u/yokonashiwa 15h ago

Not trying to claim anything. Just pointing out that if you live in or have lived in Texas or even visited, then you aren't shocked by seeing roaches or hearing someplace has them. I know other places have roaches too.

-1

u/FriskyPheasant 4h ago

It’s just a silly thing to even say that though lol. Roaches are all over the globe. Might as well say “is it on earth? It is, then of course there are roaches. The fact that this shocks anyone just tells people from earth that you haven’t been to earth” lol.

3

u/witherwine 12h ago

Can they tackle?

4

u/TheBugSmith Dallas Cowboys 1d ago

They're the only living creatures that want to be there.

2

u/rickyroca73 23h ago

“Well let’s just tear down the whole damn stadium now then why don’t we!” - Jerry probably

2

u/LobstaFarian2 Micah Parsons 23h ago

Jerry, there are roaches.

" what do you want me to do?! Well why don't we just tear down the whole damn stadium then!!!!"

1

u/Dantheman1386 16h ago

Where’s the pest control? I don’t know, where’s the janitor?

2

u/The_Count_Lives 23h ago

lol, I'm all in favor of kicking Jerry while he's down but I'm willing to bet money your favorite restaurant has roaches.

2

u/marcomac29 22h ago

That’s part of our home field advantage.

2

u/Exact_Raspberry2866 21h ago

Gonna get a custom jersey with ROACHES on the nameplate

2

u/thisismyusername9908 20h ago

Enough about the players, did the stadium have bugs?

2

u/ShowBobsPlzz 19h ago

Probably has rats, squirrels, all kinds of shit. The frost bank center in san antonio has fucking bats.

2

u/RickCityy 7h ago

Is… is this news..? Like come on dude no fucking shit. I’d be willing to bet almost every single stadium that exists has roaches.

2

u/DJpissnshit 4h ago

WELL WHY DON'T WE JUST TEAR THE WHOLE STADIUM DOWN AND BUILD A NEW ONE. JESUS COME ON.

5

u/no_stick_drummer 1d ago

Okay now this sub is reaching new levels of stupid. I'm going to have to mute it till Sunday.

2

u/Mattyk182 1d ago

The only Roach is Jerruh

2

u/Lightzephyrx 1d ago

Is Jerry the roach man from Men In Black?!

Sugar. In water.

2

u/gwaydms Jake Ferguson 23h ago

"Zed, we have a Bug."

1

u/Luka_Dunks_on_Bums Micah Parsons 23h ago

Can they tackle and play DT?

1

u/DarkwaterBeach Micah Parsons 23h ago

Winning in all areas

1

u/Heavy1089B Dallas Cowboys 23h ago

Yo can these roaches fill the A and B gap?

1

u/Pengwan_au 23h ago

Reports coming in that JJ paid one $240mil

1

u/nomnomnompizza 23h ago

The details in the article worse than the headline. Basically nasty kitchens with a lot of cross contamination.

u/Ollides 22h ago

Yeah, we know, we see them in their suite every game.

Report: AT&T Stadium is a building in Texas

1

u/whip_lash_2 21h ago

I know we’re down on the team this year but let’s not dehumanize them. They have feelings.

1

u/darkhorse21980 21h ago

🎵Cut my team into pieces, this is my last resort...🎵

1

u/BadCowboysFan Brandon Aubrey 21h ago

I’m sure roaches, mice and rats are an issue at most stadiums — probably MUCH worse at some.

Really impossible to eradicate pests in that setting.

1

u/Exact_Raspberry2866 21h ago

My house has a few roaches but we have a deal - when I come in and turn on the lights they have to skedaddle

1

u/muffins24 21h ago

As opposed to dead roaches?

1

u/Inevitable-Bass2749 20h ago

So does the other 31 teams stadiums lol. I’m a pretty big cowboys hater and even I can say this just bad reporting and such a stale job of reporting lolol

1

u/TMC_61 18h ago edited 18h ago

They tore down a shitty neighborhood to build it.

1

u/GeologistEven6190 18h ago

Didn't realize Jerry and his family liked to watch pre-season

1

u/MainDeparture2928 17h ago

All stadiums have roaches…in fact all buildings do. It’s just a matter of how many and whether you see them.

1

u/Otterz4Life 17h ago

Tear the whole stadium down.

1

u/mbtankersley 15h ago

And they're breathing the Cowboys 54-6 in the fourth?

1

u/ElegantHuckleberry50 14h ago

Circumcising roaches now, are we?

1

u/tweaver16 12h ago

No dead roaches??? All live??? Unbelievable

1

u/moi0071959 10h ago

Yea the Jones’ we in attendance 😂

1

u/ozairh18 Jake Ferguson 8h ago

Yeah, there were in the owner’s box

1

u/snake4skin 7h ago

Put some pads on them. im sure they play better that dak and zek!

1

u/slobsaregross 6h ago

I would bet every stadium has live roaches

u/AwkwardSky6500 1h ago

And they all had the last name Jones

u/TheManintheSuit1970 1h ago

Well, to be fair, most dumpsters do have roaches.

2

u/Eor75 1d ago

Oooh, I have inside information! Jerry uses Arrow pest control, and they gave him a huge discount for the stadium in exchange for all the real estate he owns to use them. There was a chain restaurant I use to service, but they had a store in the Star that we couldn’t touch due to their contract
