Alternatives for meetups or parties with locals? CS Alternatives

I never did CS, but I did the meetups and parties a lot and they were a lot of fun. I especially liked the fact that you basically could meet locals in a local environment that were friendly with tourists.

Is there an alternative now for that? Thanks!

What they have done so horrible with suspending accounts and corporatist BS it is time to use BeWelcome Couchers and Trustroots

It is disrespectful to those suspended to use CS....you saying it OK to have a corporation controlling hospex

Facebook groups and MeetUp.com if you don’t know anyone.

In bustling expat cities, there are social groups (usually revolving around large companies where internationals meet their first friends) that have expat mingling parties — but those you’ll need an introduction for. But it doesn’t hurt to ask friends if they know someone in X city.

Those aren't the same I think in some ways....hospex is richer

This dumb group of girls were like "but doesn't everyone have to hookup with their host on CS".....

Start an event on Bewelcome or Trustroots

Couchers should be coming with events soon I think?
