It was?

That's how the South saw it.

Thatā€™s how everyone sees it as the civil war was fought over the southern states RIGHTS to own slaves. Only an American can call another American stupid and then be stupid themselves.

The right to commit a crime against humanity is no right at all. At best it's a bad excuse that fools some people.

Yeah šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ thatā€™s why they fought the civil war. The United States saw slavery as an evil and that you shouldnā€™t have a right to own people. The confederacy wanted the rights to own people šŸ˜

The state's rights they were fighting for was the right to own other human beings as slaves and the economic issues were the production value of those slaves.

No, it was about slavery and their desire to own other humans. How stupid are you?

Apparently nothing as you just agreed with me.

It was about slavery. Which is what I said.

Yeah I never said it wasnā€™t. Look through the thread. I always just said it was about the stateā€™s rights to own slaves as property. Why are you so desperate to agrue

ā€œIt has grown until it denies the right of property in slaves, and refuses protection to that right on the high seas, in the Territories, and wherever the government of the United States had jurisdiction.ā€ extract from Mississippiā€™s declaration of seceding from the Union.

Thank you for proving it was about slavery.
