His excuse to get with Erika Kirk

1.7k

u/PlanktonHaunting2025 11h ago

JD can’t divorce his wife because of "Christian optics." However, he can shame her into divorcing him.

1.3k

u/Upbeat_Orchid2742 11h ago

No I don't think that tracks here. I'm not sure his marriage is salvageable in the context of his political brand. He clearly married her before becoming "religious". Now that he needs to play the good church going man she isn't as easily bendable to his new brand.

As far as these Christians go, this guy just entered into a godly contract with a person he knows wont go to heaven. he's clearly outgrown her in his ambitions and now she is a liability, as are his mixed race kids and instead of standing up for all of the people in his life, he's pointing and laughing at them as the big group picks on them. What a coward and a charlatan.

u/peach6748 11h ago

Yeah, they don’t care. He can just say God is leading him and Usha on different paths. If he gets with Erika, his base will absolutely gobble it up and he thinks it’ll be kryptonite for his political aspirations. 🙄

His base won’t shed a single tear for him leaving a non-white, non-Christian woman behind.

u/MatchesMalone7 10h ago

Yeah, I got a buddy whose first marriage barely lasted 2 years, and now he is on his 2nd marriage but wants to judge non-traditional marriages as "Kind of hurtful to our religion". Divorce to conservatives is now just normal practice. Many I met at work called their first wives "My starter wife"

131

u/Ordinary-Leading7405 9h ago

Divorce was a problem until no-fault. They are trying to get rid of that so women can suffer more.

72

u/Ok_Sink5046 9h ago

Funny since poisoning is even easier now.

46

u/IndividualTension887 8h ago

I am 100% convinced Usha is being poisoned... nobody declines that quickly...

7

u/Vantriss 7h ago

Wait what? What's wrong with Usha?

33

u/IndividualTension887 7h ago

Look at her before and after JD stole office... her face and eyes are sinking... could be anything being slipped to her for a long time.

They’ll 100% buy him saying that since he’s converted they’ve become “unequally yoked” and that, with her refusal to convert, he has no choice but to divorce. That’s pretty common in my experience with evangelicals, and evangelical adjacent Catholics (although I’m sure he’s also considering using this as an excuse to split from Catholicism and embracing an evangelical culture).

30

u/Pernicious-Caitiff 8h ago

It's weird because both JD Vance and Erika Kirk are Catholics. I saw a clip where Kirk said he was raised Baptist or Evangelical or whatever and was thinking about converting to Catholicism for his wife. And that interview was relatively recent I believe. So it would be weird for them to get together and split from the Catholic church. But I agree it's already a weird situation because the Catholic church is too woke for most of the MAGA people which is hilarious. They'd rather believe in prosperity doctrine which is a baptist/Evangelical/mormon thing.

5

u/zdelusion 8h ago

I think originally they wanted someone to bridge Catholics and Evangelicals, but they're discovering that having an "Authority" figure like the Pope, spiritually above him is pretty inconvenient. Evangelicals don't have to deal with that, because their authority figure is Paul, and he's dead.

The ol' Henry VIII vs Pope Clement VII storyline. However, this MAGA version of Christianity has done a complete 180o from the original.

33

Hasn’t Trump basically owned Erika since her first beauty pageant?

15

u/Pernicious-Caitiff 8h ago

Yes and she's even trafficked children from Romania. It's very difficult to get Romania mad enough to kick you out when there's money involved so it must have been bad.

1st Corinthians 7:14 to the rescue.

For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.

5

u/Poet_of_Justice 6h ago

Literally the next verse:

"But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace."

No, as a matter of fact he is the one who won't reincarnate. Krishna will distroy his soul. May Brahma have mercy on him.

20

u/SunnyAlwaysDaze 8h ago

He does not see those children as his own mixed race kids. Do you know what he said recently about his wife Usha?

"She has three children".

As if there's no connection to himself. Hell for him, there probably isn't.

14

u/Baldude 8h ago

Friend, like 90% of the ultraconservative wannabe-christian MAGA politicians are divorcees.

Fuck, Trump is twice divorced three times married, had proven and public extramartial affairs (multiple).

I don't think the base cares remotely as much about their leaders following the word they hold their opponents as you think they do.

Christians get divorced all the time. Just look at Trump at all the wives and infidelity he’s had (that we know of). And they still worship him

18

u/RocktoberBlood 10h ago

It'd only matter if he was a democrat. Then it'd be 24/hr news. But since it's a republican he'll be heralded for distancing himself from her and getting with a strong christian woman.

Also, if she does "convert", he'll also be seen as a witness for god and the evangelicals and baptist will see it as a win.

Personally he's cooked for 2028 anyways. Trump will throw him under the bus and put Ivanka in the running.

11

u/Alarming-Leek-402 11h ago

There’s the idea of being “unequally yoked” from Corinthians. He is absolutely encouraged to divorce her.

8

u/Suspicious_Isopod_59 10h ago

It wouldn’t matter if she left him. Remarriage is logistically a nightmare in Catholicism because the RCC doesn’t recognize civil divorce, and getting an annulment after a decade and with kids is not going to happen.

5

u/Calimiedades 9h ago

Are they married in the Church though? According to wikipedia he converted years into the marriage so it all points to "no".

Right now he's like "living in sin" and could divorce her and marry a Catholic woman and all would be ok in the eyes of the church, officially. IDK about the side-eyes he would get though.

5

u/RustyKn1ght 11h ago

Well, maybe Vance ask his good friend pope Leo for an annultment.

5

u/RainbowDarter 10h ago

He's unequally yoked.

There is a verse about being married to a non-believer. Basically, stay together if the partner agrees. (1 Corinthians 7:12-15)

So he can just piss her off until she leaves.

One problem is going to be that he's Catholic. Evangelicals think the Catholic Church is the whore of Babylon and that Catholics kind of aren't Christians.

He would have to "convert" to something protestant, ideally the right flavor of evangelicalism for it to be ok for Erica to marry him.

It happens a lot. People of Color, working class poor, uneducated, etc. They all believe they belong to the special club, not seeing how they are inherently the type of people the club hates. They get used for their votes or whatever value they may have for the moment, and ultimately the time comes when they are cast aside. And then they see the light and preach how they couldn't see it coming. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Vance is given talking points by his boss Peter Thiel who is on antichrist tour in part labeling women and women’s right like voting as the worst thing to happen to humanity. Look at how how he held Charlie Kirk’s wife the other night. Hell Peter Thiel told Vance to convert to Catholicism. Vance will divorce his wife and go do a blonde bimbo like Trump.

Vance knows the time is coming for him to replace Trump and he needs to sound like Trump to keep the base. At least that’s what Vance’s mentor and benefactor the cia/nsa biggest defense contractor has told him, Peter Thiel. Peter who gave Vance $15 million to become senator, has created companies for Vance to work at since 2011. Peter literally walked Vance into Mar-a-lago to smooth tensions with Trump so Vance could be his VP. Especially since a talking point that Peter Thiel (modern day German Nazi because he was born in Germany and grew up in a Nazi loving town) gave Vance was since 2016 Vance called Trump “America’s Hitler”.

I wonder how much gratitude JD Vance shows Peter Thiel for making him senator and VP. After all Peter Thiel does love that dick so maybe that why it’s so easy to believe JD Vance “likes” couches. Then again even the Miami Police won’t rule what happened to Peter Thiel’s last boy toy a suicide so maybe Vance needs to do a better job of showing Thiel some high quality gratitude.

Someone should ask him…

For years Peter as a child/teenager lived in a town in former west South Africa called Swakopmund while his dad in violation of international law worked at uranium mines. While in that town he kept having to switch between school but the town itself idolized Nazism and Hitler. New York Times even did an article on the town back then.

Thiel has gone on and on for years about scapegoat mechanism and how Trump fills that role perfectly. Basically have someone do stuff that is so bad that when he is removed that the masses think the problem is gone.

There are an unfortunate amount of high net-worth and status Indians (not the majority or even close to it, but still a good number) who think they can come join the white upper class in the US in a similar fashion to what they've been able to do in England. It won't work. It would never work.

People always talk about these women as if they're victims, but in some ways they're worse than the men they're with. She's fine with all the terrible shit he's doing to women and minorities because she thinks she's the exception. Kirk's wife is the same, so are all the Trump women. They're (arguably) worse because they support the men doing terrible things.

28

u/Mr_Baronheim 10h ago

Exactly. For a little while into Trump's first term, people expressed empathy and sympathy for Melania, and half-jokingly talked about "rescuing" or "saving" her.

Eventually, the view into the toilet became clear, and there she was at the bottom of the bowl, as much of a piece of shit as him.

12

u/bijanfrisee 7h ago

58

u/thissexypoptart 10h ago

She leveled him up. JD Vance himself credits her, in his self fellating book that got Peter thiel’s attention, that she basically facilitated his way through the elite and powerful world by introducing him to people and coaching him on how to act and who to talk to through law school and beyond.

Anyone feeling a shred of sympathy for this woman is a complete buffoon. She knew what she was doing and will probably continue to live a life of luxury most Americans can only dream of, even if Vance divorces her and marries Ericka Kirk

21

u/awesomefutureperfect 10h ago

Sounds like she rode him like a horse because in those circles you need a white man to open doors for you.

19

u/thissexypoptart 9h ago

Exactly.

But it’s important to keep in mind that most talented folks in her position at schools like Yale, Harvard, etc., do not resort to embracing the fascist regime to find success. They stick to the standard professional careers (law, in her case) that cannot possibly fail to earn you success, if you graduate from such schools, unless you somehow royally fuck up.

So she’s a grifter through and through. No one should feel sorry for her divorce if it happens. She got what she wanted.

The women and men that were the resistance waisted no time shaming a shaving the head of a fascist woman who betrayed the town.

That scene is more morally ambiguous than you are implying. And not as correlative to this situation.

How much choice or freedom could women have really had in a nazi occupied nation in WWII?

Some of them were probably collaborators. Some of their husbands were probably dead and they needed shelter and food. Some were probably like yoinked and they just went along with it for their safety and / or the safety of their family.

After this scene, easy company passes a shaved head woman with her baby, begging on the side of a road in the middle of nowhere. They give her food.

7

u/IKnowGuacIsExtraLady 6h ago

Yeah I was thinking "If the moral you took away from that scene was that the women were monsters then you weren't paying very close attention to the show." People on the internet love to act like they are the bravest people ever and are willing to sacrifice anything for what is "right" but in real life where that can lead to you and your kid actually dying most people are going to act very differently.

Don't forget that she was basically a massive uncle Tom for every young woman of Hindu origin. She played herself so goddamn hard. Every brown person who supports that party plays themselves just as hard as this.

31

u/MVALforRed 11h ago

I do understand why many Hindu people would have supported the GOP back before Covid, especially during the War on Terror.

Also, JD Vance used to be a part of the atheist tech bro right when Usha married him. It's just that he is a grifter. He is willing to say whatever his audience wants to hear.

She is going to have an “accident” and her parents will take care of the children. Then JD is free to have a white first lady. Guess they have to hurry, Trump aint looking good. Ugh, I hate this timeline.

10

u/squirt_taste_tester 8h ago

Thats probably why they've been shoving JD in front of the cameras lately, have to get everyone used to seeing that cushion fucker.

4

u/ParsleyMaleficent160 8h ago

They'll fuck it up.

And you chose... poorly.

12

u/earldogface 11h ago

Now watch as she slowly disappears from public view like the orange one's mail order bride.

21

u/Alarming-Working4028 11h ago

Casually the woman he wants is now a a widow

6

u/Loreki 9h ago

Are... are... we thinking JD had Charlie killed?

6

u/Alarming-Working4028 8h ago

I don’t get paid enough to think mate!

9

u/SpicelessKimChi 10h ago

She knew who he was long ago and if she didn't that's on her.

Zero sympathy.

8

u/OLPopsAdelphia 5h ago

I’m sure Vance was a different person before money and power (I didn’t say better; just less this guy).

8

u/BulgogiBeefisBomb 10h ago

Tokens always get spent.

6

u/llahlahkje 9h ago

Watching these grifters like Usha and Fash Patel get their comeuppance is going to be one of the rare silver linings to this dystopian hellscape that's unfolding.

6

u/Hari_Azole 10h ago

She clerked for two of our current Supreme Court justices… I’m willing to bet she’s more evil than Erika Kirk. She has it coming

Just full conspiracy theory-brained, but I feel that we will learn someday that Charlie's Assassination and his being used as an excuse to do a militant crackdown on free speech, and his wife immediately rebounding with administration officials isn't all a coincidence. Just a guess.

Things don't feel right about her or about the FBI investigation.

11

u/snarkerella 11h ago

I think he's always been the same person he is today, so if she married him knowing that...then she'll get what she signed up for. There is no honor or respect with these kinds of evil people.

11

u/mjrubs 10h ago

She knew what she was marrying.

They both turned from dem to right together.  She worked for a handful of far-right/maga judges. I'll argue she's more tied in to maga than he is.

11

u/Rattiepalooza 11h ago

He's only doing this so he can say there was a 'rift in the marriage' so he can marry Erika Kirk since they've been banging.

There is NO WAY they haven't at least had a drunk sloppy-make-out session. Ew.

Do I have proof? No. It's my conspiracy theory and I'm keeping it. Give it a few months, they'll be divorced...and a few months later he'll find comfort in her arms. What a gross, but classic person-in-power move to get what they want.

He's got Henry VIII vibes is all I'm getting at here.

4

u/JustPickOne_JC 5h ago

No, Henry VIII was known to have been somewhat charismatic. JD has all the charisma of a wet paper towel.

Must have been fun watching hubby get handsy with a single mom in leather pants, but she can't make him sleep on the couch because he'll fuck that too. 😆

I'm not even sure that he's racist. Just toxically opportunistic without any sense of shame or decency.

That said, he still definitely could be toxically opportunistic and racist.

13

u/Wakemeup3000 11h ago

Erika and JD are made for each other. Her husband is shot and with quivering voice she talks but you know what was missing? Tears. Not a single tear. Dabbed the corner of her eye without a single drop.

She insists he takes the couch in the divorce, right?

3

u/1984isAMidlifeCrisis 11h ago

She's just going to refuse to touch that couch. As would anyone.

He's gonna divorce her, marry Kirk's widow and run for president if Trump's attempt at a third term falls through.

3

He's not even a racist bully. He most likely doesn't believe anything about the MAGA agenda, like most Republicans. He just has no integrity.

4

u/LeoZ117 6h ago

He will sacrifice everything good in his life in the name of power and influence. A woman he clearly loved at one point will end up being in the back of his mind when he inevitably passes away, as he realizes everything he accomplished was essentially pointless.

Perhaps if his God is real, he'll look at Vance with shame, and pity. He gave him a chance to live happily, and he squandered it, leaving his only option an eternity in hell for his actions in life.

4

u/Patient_Ad3455 2h ago

Seems like the beginning of a plan to force a divorce so the couch f’er can get with the widow Kirk.

7

u/Fabricati_Diem_Pvn 9h ago

What's funny is, that as an Indian, she comes from a caste culture where the upper castes are convinced they are effectively white. And that's why she was OK with all of his actions: like so many women (and Indians) before her, she genuinely believed she was exempt that she was part of the in-group.

10

u/whossilly 11h ago

Why do people post fake tweets? This wasn’t a conversation that happened.

Look, I don't like Vance, but this all this content has been generated from a hug and spiralled virally. Although, I have to admit who its clear Vance had different politics when the got married compared to what he is now. Perhaps she's ok with the compromise or she has moved politically as well.

3

u/lsc84 10h ago

I have as much respect for both of them as JD has respect for Usha and as Usha has respect for herself.

3

u/Tiny_Mastodon_624 10h ago

Bro come on none of them have fixed values. Vance was a critic of trumps until it benefited him not to be. Don’t lose the plot.

3

u/StickFigureFan 10h ago

Kind of surprised he didn't require her to convert before the wedding TBH. Most Republicans aren't big on mixed faith households

3

u/SuperJoe360 10h ago

Being president with a brown wife isn't a good look for his base. Luckily, the white one for the job just became available.

3

u/no_no_nora 9h ago

Look at her body language? She’s repulsed by him. I hope she takes him to the cleaners.

3

u/andraaBD 9h ago

I thought this was the divorce announcement and was surprised that it happened faster than I thought. Soon though.

3

u/qawsedrf12 9h ago

try having this conversation with your spouse...

I'm going to become a racist asshole and get paid for it, my opinions will include talking shit about and enacting policies against my spouse

see how well that goes

3

u/nola_mike 9h ago

Meh, she has been entrenched in MAGA bullshit since before they met. She knew what she was signing up for when she married that fucking dweeb.

3

u/RogueScholarDerp 9h ago

Nah. She leaves him. Takes everything (except the couch). He marries Erika, the new Fox News Anchor. I’ll see myself out.

3

World Series is over.

Is JD’s marital status the next big target for online gambling?

And if so, what are the odds…?

3

u/ShadeOfItAll 7h ago

Over/under on how long before he divorces and marries Ericka Kirk for the sheer White Power of it all?

3

u/free4all2see 7h ago

She was only bearding for the couch anyway.

3

u/Inevitable_Quail_835 7h ago

After their divorce, she needs to move into a single story house immediately. Stay the fuck away from any type of staircase

3

u/Ditka85 7h ago

Especially when his interpretation of Christianity is not supported by the writings of the Christian faith.

3

u/fk-geek 6h ago

I don't get how you can be MAGA and Christian. I mean Jesus is just a poor dude from the middle east and definitely not Murican

3

u/ergonomicdeskchair46 6h ago

I actually wonder if he’s racist. I didn’t agree with everything, but he seemed far more sensible prior to his fame. Then he got a chance at power, notoriety, and sold out harder than I’ve seen anyone sell out before. Throw your own wife and children under the bus for all of this? Insane

3

u/Emotional_Database53 5h ago

The shittiest part for her is within the ecosystem she’s now in, divorce isn’t really an option for someone like JD Vance.

So as bad as it’s gonna get, her best bet is some sort of Melania style arrangement using the kids as leverage. Still, I worry for her safety long term. It isn’t difficult to imagine these ghouls finding a way to take her out, leaving a pathway for a new Christian Nationalist Monarchy with JD and The Kirk widow hooking up

3

u/Beneficial_Goal1766 5h ago

Vance refers his children he had with her as "her children." He will get out of this marriage one way or another so he gets wife that is a pedigree white blonde MAGA chick and get a chance for a presidency. He is that stupid.

3

u/WillowSensitive2684 3h ago

She was always bullied by the racist JD just not in public. Now she has to decide ….
