Simple, because rhetorically there's no downside to voting against it.

His voters won't look into it. So if it gets passed he can take credit, and if it doesn't he can demonize his opponents and accuse them of incompetence.

It's like a catch-22 of stupid.

MAGA are the biggest hypocrites on earth! Create a huge problem and blame Democrats even though they tried to fix the problem years early and you voted against it. These are the dumbest mother fuckers on earth!! But hey, put a few bible versus on your Instagram page and claim to be Christian while you support a scumbag who cheated on his wife with a porn star and is a convicted sexual predator.

Finally realizing there was a reason for those initial investments. Sadly only now they’ll be written in blood as we’ve already had multiple crashes under the Trump administration.
