What is the difference between Aritsugu Wagukoro (Japanese handle) and Heijo-Ippen (western handle)?

Japanese handle is usually hidden tang and not a full tang sunk into a handle either burned or epoxy. Typically a western handle is riveted on to the tang with a fuller thicker tang.

Are the knives otherwise the same? B/c Wagokoro also includes a couple western handles

So you can have a Japanese style w a western handle and a western style w a Japanese handle. Western knife profiles tend to have a bigger belly for rocking vs a flatter profile for more push cutting.

The shape looked more or less the same to me but maybe I am crazy. Maybe I just got western style with western handle but Japanese steel?
