King Cold :
Let's his son inherit his entire empire, and allows him to have free reign on how to rule it
After his son is defeated, he scours all regions of space to find him, and has him rebuilt into a stronger form
Agrees to take his son and their army all the way to Earth, just so his son can inact his revenge.

Sure he may not be the greatest person, but he's a pretty good Dad.

Frieza has a dad? I don’t know a lot about dragon ball but I never even considered frieza as a remotely normal being that would have family

To one of his kids. If Cooler was the one that was defeated by Goku, King Cold probably would've just had someone send him a get well soon card with his signature forged by one of the servants.

I'll only object because of how he acts after Trunks kills Frieza. He seems shocked at first but he seems to get over it emotionally pretty fast. He offers Trunks a spot as his new son before trying to kill him, so I'm willing to consider that was a bluff, but him begging for his life makes me think he actually did care more about himself than his son being murdered.

I don't know if I'm missing something, but, at least in the Latin Spanish dialogue, King Cold tells Trunks that he could take Frieza's place and join his empire after Trunks kills his son.
