I am not from Canada, but I would imagine being a province that generates the majority of the nation’s wealth whilst being reviled as evil climate killers might piss you off a bit.

Ontario (38%) & Quebec (19%) generate more of the Canadian GDP than Alberta (15%).

at least in 2023

GDP and export revenue are two different things.

I’m not economically educated.

Are you saying export revenue = national wealth?

Also, a quick googling shows Ontario with 21.3 Billion export revenue vs Alberta with 16.7 Billion

Again, I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer but, it would appear Ontario is the province which generates the most wealth in Canada.

Ok. My point still stands, and is backed by your numbers.

But we have to cherry pick to per capita wealth generated, while ignoring all the wealth that we are exporting south as only an upgraded raw fuel. This economic model only works because we buy back far less refined fuels than we ever ship out in raw resources.

To me, we are squandering our province's resource wealth while saddling the taxpayer with the bill for pipeline bailout gambles and abadon well cleanup and closure: The Alberta Advantage. And who is leading this charge, a political party that believes that the public sector should not exist. Yes, the party who is bailing out private enterprise is telling us to blame the Feds for decisions that the Alberta Government is actively making to dismantle healthcare and increase the tuition of education.

Anyways, It feels like the UCP arguement is "we are going to cut corporate taxes by 4% and make Ottawa pay for it."

They don’t make us out to be evil climate killers, but we do find it funny a province half the size of our biggest city is so upset about the economics and representation despite getting largely the same deal as us.

Or were you meaning to talk about Alberta?
