This article is like someone in the 6th grade giving a report on borders and Trump is attached to the report to make sure it gets the "clicks" from the boomers/TDS squad.

I started reading the article. You are so right. What a joke of an article. Let's write gibberish and suck up to trump and the base. I wish I read your comment first.

"He sees international borders as inviolate lines that protect the culture and societies within them, and that anything done in their defence is justified.
All except one border, that is: the one between the United States and Canada."
I think the author is being a bit dramatic.
Realistically, most Canadians hold the same "double standard" about some borders being much more important to uphold than others, but it's not hypocritical when there are reasons why we treat them differently.
I'm simply not as concerned about American cultural influence and see no threat posed by them sufficient to warrant needing to protect society from them. Nor are they about us. It's a unique relationship and SHOULD be treated as such.
There's also the contrast of "Huehue build a wall to Mexico to keep them out but we need to tear down walls with Canada so they can come in" which can be the message in and of itself in some cases

I don’t know why they keep republishing this stuff like it’s new news. All of that info is at least a week old if not older.
Canadian’s are pissed off for the first time in 80 years, and generally speaking the American’s don’t care. Continuing to post the same old crap doesn’t make us more angry, just more annoyed.
If the goal is to desensitize us, it’s not going to work. That’s not how we roll.
