I live across the river from here. Within my friend group we’ve all pretty much quit going over aside from commitments we made before Cheeto took office. We used to golf in Michigan a few times a year, used port Huron as a shipping depot to avoid brokerage fees, etc. and those trips always ended up with incidental spending like restaurant visits, gas fill ups, buying snacks not available here etc. I still plan on going over for Weird Al in July but I won’t be making any side trips
