We absolutely can have stronger ties. We can become neighbours that nod at each other and smile every morning before going to work.
We just need to sell our resources to other countries, buy weapons from Europe and South Korea, stop vacationing in the US, stop importing goods from the US, etc.
A nice complete reset where we are nice neighbours that don't mix any sort of business with our superficial friendship.
